Happy Lunar New Year! Here's a little gift for those who celebrate it. :D (and anyone else who may find use for it XP)

This is a changshan/changpao, the male equivalent of the qipao. This style of dress was introduced by the Manchu in China during the Qing Dynasty (around the 17th century), replacing the traditional hanfu as everyday attire by order of law. Nowadays they are mainly used as formal wear. There's already a lovely mesh for it around, but I wanted a more fitted version with wider sleeves because of reasons.

Just one caveat: Poses (from poseboxes) that have the sim cross their legs will look horrendous with this. I checked similar meshes (e.g. long dresses with splits/visible ankles) to try and fix it, but they all have this problem due to the way they're meshed. It's just a posebox thing though, all the normal EAxis animations -from tai chi to sofa jumping- should cause no problems.

All parts based on Maxis stuff save for Tenshii~Akari's hands, textures are my own.

And because one mesh fix a day keeps the holes away, I almost completely redid this outfit here to improve the animation, mapping and textures and add smoother hands. The difference isn't as drastic as the previous outfits, but it just looks neater and less sloppy.

ETA: I fixed a lame floating vertex on the right hand of the Aldebaran outfit from the GoS Advent, so please redownload. Must have happened when I fixed the shoes. Gah, what am I like.

♫ The Animatrix - Who Am I?

I'm cleaning up my Dreamwidth a bit to remove broken links, add tags, a more gratuitous use of cuts, delete things I no longer like (some sims and hairs, mostly) and add little mesh information blurbs in all the clothing posts.

I also updated this mesh, so please redownload if you had it. There were some minor animation issues and I added morphs, which it was missing before. I also made an optional version of it with Maxis hands instead of Tenshii's hands, because I noticed a significant interest in those.

ETA: Fixed two more meshes to add morphs and fix some huge animation issues. I also added smoother hands and an optional Maxis hands mesh for them. Please update them if you have them - the difference is significant.

With AL came a tacky leather jacket with a pair of ugly trainers, so I took the entire thing through the grinder to try and make something more classy-looking. Everything is based on Maxis stuff.

♫ Intwine - Cruel Man
I loved this band so much in high school.

It's been only a bit more than a week since the Arabian Nights/Asylum theme started over at GoS, but I figured I'd repost what I posted there so far (plus one new set I didn't really find fitting).

These are retextures of the crown molding meshes that came with Apartment Life. I didn't post them because I don't find them all too Arabic, but they use the same textures as the doors and were initially made to go with them.
The thing with these is that they are slaved to each other. The top designs look shitty on the bottom mesh, so I made retextures for the bottom too (which look fine on the top mesh, just less ornate).

These are complete retextures of a base game window called "Arch of Antiquity". I also managed to add a texture to the recolour package for the stupid blue glass, so that part has some new texture options too. Files are all Compressorized.

This is more 'vaguely inspired' by Arabic architecture than anything else: Five retextures of the 'Open Sesame door by 40 Thieves Ltd.' door that came with the base game, for your... treasuries and throne rooms and such. I was thinking more of Aghraba than Marrakech, so to speak.

These are 6 retextures of the Moroccan base game door called 'Doorway to a Distant Land' (the one you can see in Sariadeea's picture, coincidentally). The retextures for the frame are also picked up by the 'Archway to a Distant land' arch, which is slaved to it.

This is a bit of a quickie: Three retextures of the base game Moroccan column called 'Up, Up and Away'. I wanted to make more, but unfortunately the mapping was a very special brand of Impossible. Files are compressed and everything.

And lastly, a request I did for the Wishing Tree: A tabletop statue of the goddess Dibella from Skyrim. Looks a bit art nouveau-ish, I think. It's slightly shiny (but not obnoxiously so) like it is in the game.
