[Accessory + whine] Aikea's key object as earring
I saw some WCIFs for this key earring, so I figured it was easiest to just upload it here for future reference. This is Aikea Guinea's pretty wall key object as an earring for TM/TF/AM/AF. Meshes and textures are by her (I just resized it and added the ring) so that's where the credits and love should go <3. It doesn't animate, fyi, because I'm a talentless hack when it comes to that.

So. I use GunMod's lighting mod, because it makes environments look more realistic and epic/creepy/all that jazz, which gets major love from me. But every time I get back in my game, the way to achieving agreeable lighting for photoshoots of actual sims proves to be a total mystery again, requiring much fiddling with lamps and windows and more lamps. It drives me bonkers.
Usually it either gets over-saturated, losing details due to harsh light:

...or it gets all crappy like this, with the shadow outlining the face's polygons:

...when what you want is something more subtle like this:

*casts Wail of the Banshee*
Just needed to vent about my least-favourite part of picture-taking. Surely I'm not the only one struggling with this?

And you're definitely not alone with the lighting issues. I would have never guessed from your pictures, however. :)
