Here's a set I posted at GoS last week. I'm still working on Reno's suit too, but the collar is killing me.

I have this odd fascination with certain types of objects, like chandeliers, candelabras, Venetian masks and most of all: Mirrors! What's shinier than mirrors? Very little is what. Here are edits of some of my favourite mirror meshes.

Small square mirror

A versatile little mirror retextured in two different styles. Mesh by Mango-Sims included.

Large round mirror

This mesh was cloned from an OFB mirror, so you'll need that EP to be able to use it. Mesh by Birgit included.

"Big is Better" mirror edit

This is an edit of a Nightlife mirror. There was a little angel ornament thing on top that I felt was out of place, so I hacked it off. Unfortunately, it will require Nightlife because I couldn't get it show up otherwise. The glass can also be retextured. Mesh by myself included, obviously.

Maxis/Jope mirrors

These are retextures of the "Past Reflections" mirror that came with the base game, and two mirrors by Jope from SimplyStyling that were based on it. All meshes are included.

I've posted this set here before, but for this upload I added another mirror to it that used the same mapping.

This is the new retexture...

...and this was the older set, which is included.

One last note: I tend to modify the meshes of objects I edit to add shadows, so if you already have the meshes, replace them if you want those.

Here's the link to Sentate's set! If you love those shoes in particular, people have been slapping them on a lot of different outfits over at GoS .

Ahh, the lamps. The one in the front is by Buggybooz and the one reflected in the mirror is a wall lamp from the Cottage bathroom by VitaSims (which you can get at the booty).

Haha, I still don't have enough of them either! I'm eyeing some more mirror meshes that could use a new lick of paint. Glad you like them too! :D

How is it possible that every single thing you make becomes something that I must have like RIGHT NOW! Thanks so much for these, I love mirrors, and these are some of the classiest ones I've seen in forever. I already abuse that little Mango one, more variety.

Haha, I just google terms like 'antique clock' or 'wooden frame' and troll furniture stores for HQ photos. XD Then comes the mucking about in PS to make them fit/not look blatantly photoskinned, eep.

Good question! My game says they're both from Reflexsims, from the 'Elements' and 'Highlight' sets.

I have a question. I'm trying to re-color a Maxis painting...and every time I re-size a photo in Adobe Photoshop that, the HQ large photo becomes blurred and awful. :/ How do I fix this--to keep my photos HQ even when I re-size them to fit painting meshes? Is there a tutorial that you use to make your paintings look good and not blurred when you re-size custom photos?

Sincerely,
Edorenel

Hmm, try enlarging the entire texture of the object. For example, if the original texture (so the painting including the frame and such) of the Maxis object you're editing is 256x512 or even smaller, resize it to 200% or more (as long as one or both sides is 1024px). This way you don't have to resize your new painting so dramatically, and it will become HQ in-game. Remember to use DXT sizes though, or else it won't show up correctly (so 512x512, 512x1024 or 1024x1024). Also, when you're importing the image in SimPE, use DXT5 with Sharpen set to 'none'.
