[Play] Walkers of the Sand Road

Besides mucking around in TS2, one of the things I waste my time with is geofiction (worldbuilding, as the word suggests). So when the GoS Sim Challenge came along I thought it would be fun to do something different from the usual urban doom and gloom and went the fantasy route, inspired by all the gorgeous CC by Helena, Ran et al. Fun times, fun times.

Silk - Aiynene

I associate silk with wealth and wealth with 'them bloody nobles who get away with everything', and thus, Aiynene came about. Single ruler of a wealthy kingdom after skilfully poisoning her husband, Aiynene relished in the privileges her status granted her, almost bringing the monarchy to ruin with her expensive tastes. It was said that next to her, even fire would think twice about shining too brightly.

Shadow - Hilanreson

Standing behind her was Hilanreson. He'd always been there. Watching, smiling and nodding to her demands, no matter how debauched and outrageous they became. In the end, 'twas his hand that guided her fall, for he had withered in her shadow, and he yearned for salvation. Checkmate, indeed.

Tango - Sehesunn

E che altro esiste
in un cuore gelato?
Tranne il pensiero
di un assassinio molto silenzioso.

(er, don't look this up - the band I stole it from is very... Dragonforce-esque)

Staying in the box, this is Sehesunn, an attempt at personification of the dance's sensuality and...well, inspired by Dragon Age's Zevran (and Puss in Boots - Spanish accents are hot *pokes Anto* e.e). An excuse to make a comely man with a Latin complexion, though one with a dangerous streak: Sehesunn is an assassin, and to dance with him is to dance with Death itself.

Rebel - Isilyo

She was a curious contradiction: Dressed in rags and covered with the dirt of the street, yet exuding an aura of pride, like she was nobility and the dirty mat she sat on was her throne. She idly observed a passing soldier as he walked by, her face blank, but with mischief glistening in her eyes.

In wuxia (a typically Chinese genre of fiction), the main characters are often lone wanderers with extraordinary martial skills, travelling the land to fight injustice, right wrongs done to the people or to remove an oppressive force or government. Amongst the more organized sects of good-doers is the Beggar's Sect; the ragged appearance of its members serves to disguise their skills as martial artists and keep them unnoticed as they spy and gather information.
Isilyo is not from the Jianghu setting but I was heavily inspired by this idea, so there we have it. She joined the Beggar's Guild of the capital in hopes of aiding them in the task of removing a corrupt upstart from the seat of power, though her reasons are not entirely altruistic: She lost her father to the man's antics and seeks retribution for his death.

Vert - Inyeon

Most locals know better than to venture into the forest without one of the druids to guide them, for it does not suffer interlopers gladly. Set on purposely leading travellers astray and often luring them into gruesome traps, the sylvan spirits are some of her more vicious inhabitants. It is said they were human, once - unwanted children abandoned by their parents - but as the forest embraced them, only the beast remained.

In less flighty language, this dude is forest spirit. He guides animals to safety but hunts any humans who dare to set foot in his territory.

My heartfelt thanks to all CC creators; my game wouldn't be half as pretty and fun without you!

Aww, I love especially Aiynene and Sehesunn! And the pictures are once again amazingly beautiful, though no surprise there :D <3
