Picspam + On Photosouping

Okay, this is for last post's anon. :D Here are some vanilla shots from Malrennan's Fall to compare with the edited ones.

I'm amongst many who edit the shit out of their pictures. Not the previews for CC though (I know that tends to sour people's muffins), mostly just the picspam type. Compared with newer games TS2's graphics kind of suck, no matter how uber your card is, but with quality CC and lighting mods alone you can get quite far. So I personally only use Photoshop as a finishing touch kind of thing.

I'm still learning, and this isn't very spectacular compared to what some others can do (saying this because I bumped into someone's utterly beautiful house show-off thread when I was about to post this - confidence drainer, haha), but here we go.

Love the way you edit your pics! About how long does it take? I mean, do you have actions saved or what not or do you go through every picture and edit it like that?

Anyways, the pics look awesome either way. I like the composition of them!:)

That was my first reaction to it too! Even though I had no idea who it was at first, haha.

I usually just experiment with duplicate layers and colour/lighting filters. Not for too long though, I don't have a lot of patience. XD

I love the first one(s) specially. At first I thought they came from Dragon Age or something like that, which is obviously meant as a compliment. I liked your previous entry shots too, but most of the time I don't comment because I don't want to be creepy XD

Hah, I know what you mean. Sometimes I feel creepy too, especially if the creator and their commenters speak another language and I come barging in with English.

I loveeeee your pictures of the ruins..you had a post some time back of an elf who roams a similar type park..the pictures struck me as so beautiful, I'll never forget them!

it's crazy how some 'before' pictures look compared to their edited versions. i use PS actions all of the time, they make a huge difference to my pictures. i love outdoor/landscaping pics and they're the funnest to play with in PS imo because of all the different colors and how actions play on them.

Ahh, yes, I remember those. Most of that was actually in-game lighting. I was so proud of how those turned out, haha. I'm glad you liked them too. :D
I love outdoor pictures too! Especially night pictures. Default nights in TS2 are so... blue, blegh.

yeah..it's hard to go back once you have the lighting mod. admittedly though, it does irritate the crap out of me when some objects are just incredibly dark unless the room is on fire with lights.

i'm sure you have, but have you seen the neighborhood sky recolors? i'm dying to get my hands on them o.o i know psychosim has made some awesome ones, but they don't really fit the theme of my hoods >.>
