[Objects] Spencer candles + Eluvian mirror + Evori mirror retexture

Hello hello! Today I come bringing some fineries for your more pretentious sims: Candelabras, wall sconces and a two-story chandelier converted from Resident Evil, straight from the mansion of Oswell Spencer.

One caveat: I cloned the candelabras from University objects, and the chandelier from a M&G object. I've looked at a tutorial on making things basegame compatible, but was not successful - from what I've read it's more than just a little number change for lamps.

As for what is included, here are some previews:

Two-story chandelier. This one is rather high-poly (13000-something), but it is huge and on 4 tiles, so I didn't find it too unreasonable a number.



Remember, you will need University for the candelabra and Mansion & Garden stuff for the chandelier.

Second, here are some items I added to the Galeria Occitana mirrors yesterday. First up is Merril's notorious Eluvian mirror from Dragon Age II. Could also pass for art nouveau, with a little imagination.

Well, at least you have the sconces! They're my personal favourites of the bunch. I really wanted to make them basegame compatible, but they will require fiddling with the light source I don't have time for at the moment. : (

Perhaps I'll make a fool of myself, but as far as I know, to make an object BG compatible you have to set the preferences in simPE.

Go to Extra > Preferences > FileTable and unckeck everything but Include CEP, Include Graphics and Include Original. Do this before cloning and your new object should be BG compatible. I've never done anything with lamps, so I don't know if this also applies for lamps.

I'm nearly convinced that you already know this, due to your skills in meshing... but I wanted to take the chance. Sorry if you do! :D

Hey Lucas! Ah yes, the thing is, I purposely cloned these from non-basegame lamps so I could reference the flame animation/lighting and (for the chandelier) amount of tiles, to save myself the headache. It should be possible to make them basegame compatible afterwards, but that's where I ran out of time and patience. XD

I'm not the same anon from before, but you couldn't make your Sims 3 work? :O I remember that you said you were trying to make it work.

It worked brilliantly for a few weeks, then it crashed again and I couldn't figure out why. Reinstalled, patched, it worked for a few days then froze on the loading screen. I just don't have the patience for these shenanigans - makes me cranky again just thinking about it, heh.
