Anyone here on Tumblr? Is it possible to follow others/reblog pictures with a sub-blog instead of the name you signed up with? I'm trying to go with the sneaky anonymous thing, but it doesn't help if my original super-obvious username is plastered everywhere, eh. As if the blog's name isn't a dead giveaway already.

Anyway. I used to hate building my own lots, mostly because my ideas didn't go much further than slapping two squares together. I surpassed myself by making something consisting of four squares, semi-creatively stacked on top of each other. Oh yeah. 8D It made for some pretty enough pictures, so here are some of those.
This was intended as a modern house for a rich bachelor who doesn't like frilly decorations, but I got bored halfway through due to the lack of needlessly ~ornate~ stuff, and didn't even get to the bedrooms. At least I had an excuse to finally use those light panels by Xanathon I'd been hoarding for ages.

. Illumination .

I finally slapped Gunmod's Shader file in my game and ended up gawking at the water for at least 15 minutes.

Cut for six more. )

. Sim blahblah.

As for something entirely different, I'm not the only one who makes characters into sims and just keeps tweaking them endlessly, am I? I came across some old pictures of the ~ominous~ dude from the last post and ended up comparing them. Perhaps I'm the only one who finds this amusing, but hey.
His name is Sanzusair and he likes talking in metaphors that may or may not make any sort of sense.

2008: Photoshopped to hell and looking fancier than the next two pictures combined.

2009: For some reason I spammed this picture around everywhere at this point.

Now: Doesn't look like himself without the white fairy locks.

'Sup.
Haven't been around here much for the last month - I'm in a little Sim slump, I'm afraid. The whole Real Life thing is getting a bit distracting and I am trying to pick up on some old hobbies that I abandoned in favour of too much canoodling with the pixel people.
Anyhow, to blow the dust off this place, here is a picture of Eseyah looking like someone put shit through his letterbox.

Cheerios!

I've had more and more people tell me they can't see any of my images (yes tootsie, you were the LAST STRAW), so I've been switching image hosts again. Everything is uploaded, I just need to... go through all my posts again to change the URLs, hahaha ugh. So if you can see my DW layout and the previous post where you previously couldn't, then it's working.

And I just remembered I haven't spammed these two here properly: Two sims made for the November sims challenge at GoS. I'm rather busy at the moment with another project and I signed up for Secret Santa (two more days until the deadline!), so that's why I haven't really posted much here. I can't wait until December, though!

Dido - Izesine

Deep in the forest lies the realm of the Fay, ruled by its queen, Izesine (this sounds like the start of a bad fairytale, eh). Aloof and mysterious even to her own people, she forbade her subjects from ever venturing away from their borders into the world. Whispers say she had to learn that the hard way, herself: The mortal she had taken as her consort fled from her court after taking all the favours she had to offer.

My first association with Dido is that of the founder and first queen of the ancient city of Carthage, in what is now modern Tunisia. According to the Aeneid, she took Aenas as her lover but after a lot of interferences by gods and whatnot he ended up betraying her. She cursed him and all Trojans, foreshadowing the Punic Wars.

Cacogen - Pennan

'He's shiftier than me and I don't trust myself.'
(If you know who said this we should probably get married.)

Saying Pennan would regard anyone as anything would imply he regarded others at all. To him, everyone is equal - equally worthless. Second son of an elderly king of a small kingdom, he was mostly left on his own with no one around who dared to correct his terrible temper. He feels completely entitled to get whatever it is he wants from others and is constantly seeking new thrills, no matter what the costs are.

A cacogen an antisocial person and... a Trojan virus. Apparently, being antisocial is about living without any regard for others and the term is commonly misused to refer to very introverted people. Well, I didn't know that either.

And that's that for shameless copypasta. No downloads because they're a bit generic without the CC.

Future World Music - Final Judgement
Not sure if I ever recommended this one before, but Future World Music is another company making epic trailer music. This is one of my favourite tracks by them.

Okay, I'm going to bore all of you with spam of respectively my ~first~ and ~second~ TS3 sims ever. I don't know how everyone else shoots their pictures, but for me it's just waiting until they stop pulling an ugly face. From a stylistic viewpoint, I guess I'm just doing whatever it is I am doing in TS2.

First up is Maze looking like a Cyclops.

And Alaine before after-fiddling commenced (I really just liked the lighting here)

After fiddling (just hair and eye distance, really):

I just can't live without a shitload of CC and mods when it comes to *any* game, it seems - I already have 1GB of stuff. After three days. This is not good.

Impression:
- I find the incredible versatility of Create-a-Style quite overwhelming right now.
- In-game delete button no workie?
- Perhaps it's just my slider abuse, but I wish sims would stop pulling them ugly faces.
- Hot damn, I want Late Night.
- When I went back to TS2 I was overwhelmed by the hi-res textures. Oh yeah.
- Holy shit yes for lighting colour options.

I was thinking about converting my walls/floors but ehh, we'll see. I don't really feel like figuring out stuff all over again.

Hey ho rode kool. I must confess: TS3 is looking shinier and shinier to me every day, but I'm trying to keep my paws off at the moment. I definitely don't need another game draining my time, heh.

As for today's picspam, I made five more fantasy-themed sims for the prompt challenge at GoS for October, annnd since they're starting to look alike towards the end I think that's my cue to stop. Definitely makes me appreciate contemporary themes more, though.
