Welcome to Un Amour Éternel, Yuxi's TS2-crap-dump! I dig decorating, storytelling, making pretty pixel people and posting random lounge music, amongst other things. Older content (like old hair retextures/conversions) can be found on my Livejournal, and a masterlist of most of my stuff can be found here.

Policy

In case you want to know how I roll:
You're free to include my stuff with lots and sims, no need to ask.
For meshes, I'd prefer you linked back to their original post instead of including them, as I am prone to screwing up and will update as necessary.
Feel free to hack/slash/convert/recolour/edit my things, but please do mention where you got your parts from.
I only use textures or meshes from other people if they allow such mash-ups - follow their terms of usage if you wish to reuse their work and credit them properly too.

This is a list of the lovely creators and sites I get pretties and/or inspiration from.
Unfortunately some are now inactive, hence the links to the backups of their files in the Graveyard.

Sites and forums

Adele (mirror site): Beautiful objects and clothing.
Black Pearl Sims (forum) : I'm not an active member here, but I love many object recolours and meshes that can be found here. My favourite creators in particular are Animefemme, Cassandre, Leehee, MysticRain and Nemestnaya.
Chi Sims: All sorts of fancy objects, accessories and what-have-you with a classical Chinese twist.
Club Crimsyn (mirror site): Darker themed high-quality clothing, accessories, objects, walls&floors and so much more by Aikea Guinea and Gelydh.
Cool Sims: Pretty, quality hairs for both genders by Anto.
E-studio See creator blogs vvv: E-Studio had high-quality skins, make-up and hair edits by one of my favourite creators ever. Ephemera is also a member of MTS and of Gamesir.
Elegant Decay: Used-but-not-quite-abused objects and other things by Nixy - I think the site's title pretty much says it all.
Enayla's Escapades: A subforum at Insimenator, this is where Enayla posted her phenomenal eyes, skins and clothing inspired by the world of the fantastic.
Fashion Twist: Realistic, high-quality and elegant clothing by Confide and Tantra.
Gamesir: A plethora of talented Chinese CC creators post their creations here. (You do need an account view the board and GSBs (forum money) to download, however.)
Garden of Shadows (forum): Alternative-themed forum with many, many pretties.
Imaginary (at Sims2Graveyard): Problematique's and Noirmuse's old site, now hosted at the Graveyard. A plethora of shinies can be found here.
The Medieval Smithy and Plumb Bob Keep: Quality build mode items, object recolours and everything else you'll ever need to build a historical-themed 'hood.
My-mashup: Beautiful wallpapers, floors and lots by Isi, who's also a talented builder and designer.
Pixel Dolly (at Sims2Graveyard): Alternative, high quality Bodyshop items and object recolours.
Sims in Paris (mirror site): Beautiful furniture with a chic touch.
Simply Styling: High quality clutter objects, furniture and other things that give a house that 'lived-in'-feeling I find so hard to achieve.
Sims Projects: Grungy walls, floors and posters from Vampire the Masquerade: Bloodlines, along with other useful object retextures by Dektora.

Favourite MTS creators

Bruno: Awesome make-up sets and other Bodyshop items.
blake_boy: Astonishing sets of contemporary furniture.
Buggybooz: Beautifully textured objects and room sets. She also has a blog with more goodness.
Criquette: The master of neighbourhood objects.
Crowridgestudio: Some lovely recolours and vintage objects.
Guatla: Wonderful used-but-not-abused room and building sets, among other things.
Navetsea: I use his face kit and eyebrows on too many sims.
Pixelhate: Countless sets of marvellous building materials and brilliant overlays, perfect to build realistic, grubby lots.
Sherabhim: Beautiful fantasy-type clothing and other things.
V1ND1CARE: One of the best lot builders out there, mostly of ancient ruins and the like.

Creator blogs

Amaryll at Livejournal: Wonderful, high-quality clothing for both genders.
Azaya at Dreamwidth: Grungy recolours, lovely clothing and hairs.
Crayonsama at Tistory: Lovely realistic clutter, mostly ashtrays and gadgets.
CuriousB at Dreamwidth: Extremely useful and well-made grungy recolours and build mode objects.
Daislia at 163: Unique objects, recolours and build mode objects, always accompanied by stunning, inspiring pictures.
Ephemera at Blogbus: Sim God, basically. I simply can't play without his genetics, hair retextures and make-up.
Helena at 163: Utterly gorgeous Bodyshop CC, mostly historical/fantastical, bound to make jaws drop all the way to the floor.
Io at Dreamwidth/Livejournal: Absolutely drop-dead gorgeous clothing, hair retextures and more!
Javiera at Dreamwidth: Makes the most beautiful steampunk-themed clothing and objects.
Nabila at Livejournal: Wonderful high-quality object recolours and make-up.
Ran at 163: Beautiful accessories and other CC, all made with excellent taste.

No bother at all. :) That's a skintone blend/edit I made of a bunch of broken TOUs (Gua's mostly), but because of that I've never shared it.

Hi Setsuna! Those eyes are by Amun-RA at Insimenator.org >> http://www.insimenator.org/index.php/topic,50321.0.html
I think I used a sclera facemask on it, too.
Hope that helped! :)

I like your username. ;D
I suppose most care goes into the set and the actual picture-taking rather than editing: The perspective and angles, as well as the in-game lighting (I can't play without my mangled version of Radiance 2.3 now - it gives things that extra realistic touch). To me it's little things like that that make a difference.
I also prefer using a screenshot program over the in-game camera (due to picture quality). The only picture editing I do is sharpening a bit, then resizing - I don't have a super duper graphics card or anything. XD

- Slim H&M shirts by Aquilegia
- Gaudy Lemons tees by Wendigo
- Monty Python tees by MissTiikeri
- More H&M shirt variations by Amaryll

I get most of my separates from GoS, Club Crimsyn, Amaryll and other GoSling's LJs/DWs, so that's where I'd start if you're looking for more!

Hello Yuxi, I'm a long time fan of your site. I take pictures and i usualy build my sets and decorate my 'hoods by myself, but ive noticed that my 'hoods look like complete and total crap. .__. I need to know where you get your neighborhoods. They are beautiful and the way they are set up and stuff. I don't know how to describe it. xD Free? Open? Aha, not sure. Okay, enough of my useless rambling I have to know do you Decorate your neighborhoods your self or do you download them pre-decorated. And is there a way i can download the neighborhood (pre-decorated or otherwise). I f it hasnt been Pre-decorated and you decorated it yourself would you be so kind as to put it up? xD Im not begging just wondering -doesn't want to be an annoyance- . Thanks a lot :D

Hey! Err, I'm unsure what you mean about my 'hood looking open. XD You mean as backdrops for lots? My 'hood is just a standard Maxis template (lazy lazy), propped full with neighbourhood decorations and some decorative lots (like one that's filled with trees for a forest, and a few with house blocks) to vaguely resemble a crowded city and its outskirts. Since it's pretty much tailored to my own needs and thus not very playable, easy to replicate and unfinished to boot, it's not something I would upload, sorry!

I personally prefer meshed glasses over the ones on alpha meshes, so I mainly use the ones by Tamo, some by Louis/Ren that I can't find back, and these by Heinz. I have some others based on Prida's mesh by selzi (with a fixed mesh) and a Korean creator, but the blog I got the latter from closed *grumble*.

Hey Yuxi! Firstly- I'm a big fan, duh.
I love all of your creations and your decorating skills amaze me every time I visit
your site)) I adore and envy you, in a good way))

Then I have some questions/requests/begging for you:

in some of your ''house tours'', more exactly this one http://esperesa.dreamwidth.org/42953.html, as there's a credit list, exactly those objects I amaze the most were made/recoloured by you.. Guess how many times I made Homers 'Doh'?... Sooo, my question is- will you be an angel and share
them? Or are they made 100% for personal use?.. :I

Then there's something else:

I guess for already 3 years I've been trying to register at Gamesir, but
no success! And when I saw your link to http://gamesir.com/viewthread.php?tid=83759page=1#pid2419098 I was like '' oh holy muffins!'' The thang's asking for a ID card number and I can't make my way ''through'' it.. And I want the Ephemera stuff so badlyy... D': You know any way I could register? :')))

So, anyway, I thank you only for reading my blabber, and if there'll
be any response, I'll bring you sum doughnuts!))))

Haha, you sure know how to make a girl blush XP Thank you!

Ahh yes, those recolours. Some of those replace the textures in the original mesh file to save space (or if it wasn't recolourable, like CherryND's loveseat). I can dig through my stuff and upload them all in a separate post, though. Fun times, that. XD Were there some in particular you would really like to have?

About registering at Gamesir... that is a good question =/. I somehow managed to hop on board years ago (though I remember having to use a proxy because it wouldn't let me at first), but it seems like it's invite-only now for new members or something? I'm unsure. I don't have enough posts to invite others myself either, alas. Pretty much all of Ephemera's stuff was reuploaded at Sims Cave, though (small comfort, I know).

Oooh Lama, let me start by fangirling a bit and saying I love your stuff!
I looked in my game and saw from the Debug tooltip that it's made by someone named 'eddief66' (who is at MTS but has no available downloads) in 2005. There is stuff from that creator in the Graveyard but apparently you can get those window recolours from this lot as well.
I hope that's a bit helpful!

darker, made a black recolour. Is there any chance you'd share it with us?? :(( I've been searching *overall* for black Liam set as the darkest colour that came from Adele is some dark, dirty grey...

Also, in a older post where you showed the house you built for Nymphy's
contest, there are soo many gorgeous recolours of yours! E.g I reaally want a black Reflect Floor-recolour, I use now the thing to place over water to change it's colour to make the floor darker.. -___-

I might sound a bit rude by asking you to share those things, I'm sorry then, and of course you don't have to do so if you don't want x)))
Again, I'm a huge fan and I'll be hoping for a respond and maybe even
some of my wishes will come true.. c(:

Sorry for replying so late to your kind message! Last uni bits and all. Don't worry, you're not rude at all. :D
Ahh yes, Adele's Liam windows. There is some sort of overlay and reflection going on in the recolours that make every recolour appear a bit grungy. I don't think my edit is really jet black, but it is still a bit blacker than Adele's original. This should be the file. (It's been a while since I've seen it in-game DX)

Hmm, a black recolour of those reflective floors by Murano? I usually just edit the floor tile textures themselves to be darker, actually. I guess such a thing would be handy though, haha.

Hope this helped you a bit! :D
